License terms
Clear terms for an individual Pro license.
Effective 10 September 2026. Provetag is supplied by Hervé Schmidt, an independent software supplier established in France. Checkout and resale are handled by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record.
Free plan and trial
Live inspection, generic implementation warnings, filters, and JSON export are available without charge. Importing the first tracking plan starts a seven-day Pro trial on that Chrome profile. Reinstalling or clearing browser data to repeatedly reset the trial is not permitted.
Pro license
A Pro purchase grants one person a non-transferable right to use Provetag's tracking-plan validation and HTML report features. The founding license is a one-time purchase and may be activated on up to three browser installations for the license holder. It may not be resold, shared publicly, or used to provide access to unrelated people.
Checkout, tax, and refunds
Polar is the seller of record and handles payment, applicable tax, receipts, and the customer purchase portal. Purchases are also subject to Polar's Buyer Terms. Refund requests are handled through Polar and the Provetag support channel. A refunded, disputed, disabled, or revoked purchase may deactivate its license benefit.
Appropriate use
You remain responsible for having permission to inspect the websites and analytics implementations you test, for redacting client material before sharing it, and for reviewing the exported verdict before relying on it in a delivery. Provetag does not replace legal, privacy, security, or comprehensive automated testing.
Availability and support
Provetag is provided on an as-available basis during its founding release. Reasonable efforts will be made to correct reproducible defects, but uninterrupted operation with every browser, consent platform, tagging setup, or future Chrome version is not guaranteed.
