Get a clean first capture.

Most issues are resolved by starting the session from a normal web page and repeating the complete journey.

Nothing is captured

  1. Open the http(s) page you want to inspect.
  2. Click the Provetag toolbar icon.
  3. Select Start capture in the side panel.
  4. Reload the page, then repeat the customer action.

A journey changes domain

Chrome ends the temporary site permission when the top-level domain changes. Click Provetag on the new domain and start another capture. This is intentional and avoids permanent access to every website.

CSV import errors

Start with the CSV template. The event column is required. Separate required parameters with a vertical bar, for example currency|value|items.

Known beta limits

Provetag observes the top-level page. It does not yet inspect cross-origin iframes, validate server-side events that are invisible to the browser, or schedule unattended monitoring.

Report a reproducible issue

Once the public beta is listed, use its Chrome Web Store support channel. Include the Chrome version, the expected event name, whether it was GA4 or dataLayer, and a redacted JSON export. Never share client secrets or personal data.
